Hi! I'm a writer, translator and journalist living in London by way of Barcelona.
My essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Millions and the anthology On Bodies (3 of Cups Press). My journalism and criticism work has appeared online and in print in The Guardian, The Observer, The Paris Review, Literary Hub, Electric Literature, Literary Review, VICE and more.
I have been awarded an Arts Council England grant (2019), a London Writers Award for Narrative Non-Fiction (2018), a residency by Faber in Catalonia (2018), and a fellowship by the International Journalists’ Programmes in Berlin (2017). I’ve also been accepted into the 2019 Tin House Summer Workshop.
I'm currently Literary Editor at Elle UK and European Editor-at-Large at Literary Hub. I also talk to strangers on the tube about the books they’re reading. Previously, I worked at the Guardian in London and, before that, as a reporter in Spain.
As of June 2018, I run a retreat for women and non-binary writers in London. Find out all about it – and sign up – here.
If you'd like to commission me or talk about collaborating, you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
