Marta is at work on her debut novel and on a creative non-fiction manuscript.
Most recently, her novel-in-progress was commended at the UEA New Forms Award. She has also been an Emerging Writer at the London Library, a London Writers Awards awardee for narrative non-fiction, a shortlistee for Art and Design Writer of the Year at the UK’s Freelance Writing Awards, and a participant at Tin House Summer Workshop in Portland, OR.
Her essays have appeared or are forthcoming in British Vogue, The New York Times Magazine, ELLE, Literary Hub, The Millions, and several anthologies. Her journalism and criticism work have appeared in The Guardian, the Observer Magazine, the Financial Times, The Paris Review, Electric Literature, Literary Review, VICE, and more.
In addition, she is European Editor-at-Large at Literary Hub and runs an urban/online writing retreat for women-identifying and non-binary writers. Previously, she was Literary Editor at ELLE UK and a staff editor at the Guardian’s Books and Arts desks.
